Head of operations, logistics, client support, and installation, Shawn’s passion for people, the built environment, and continuous improvement mesh together to form a broad, cohesive foundation.
Early in his career, Shawn developed a strong interest in woodworking and honed his construction skills as a Builder in the United States Navy Seabees. He later combined his artistic eye and Builder techniques to design, build, and hand-cut every mortise and tenon of Watershed Structure’s heavy timber Operations Headquarters. From furniture to timber-frame structures, you will see his creative influence and attention to detail in every sliver. When coupled with his extensive background as a continuous improvement professional for organizations like Genie Industries, Nordstrom, and King County, he understands efficiency as well as the customer experience.
Shawn feels at home with just about everyone and is a true collaborator on every project. He is relentless in his pursuit to create new ways to improve efficiency, eliminate waste, and reduce cost, to deliver projects better, faster, and cheaper than anyone else in the industry.
When Shawn’s not creating sawdust in the shop, you can find him exploring the backroads of the PNW on his Harley or spending time with his wife and two kids.
Cross-laminated timber (CLT) is a wood panel system that is rapidly gaining popularity in the U.S. after being widely adopted in Europe. The strength, dimensional stability, and rigidity of CLT allow it to be used in mid- and high-rise buildings.
We believe that the NW stands for lasting quality, especially when it comes to timber products. The CLT panels used to build our structures are made to exacting standards with some of the greatest industry leaders standing behind them.
